The Rebel who had no Cause

As the sad news reaches us of the death of Hollywood legend Tony Curtis, it is also the 55th anniversary of the untimely death of James Byron Dean. It was the day an icon was born, an icon that certainly played a huge role in popular culture during my formative years. Last year we stopped at the site of the crash in Cholame, California. The memorial is about 800yds from what is today a busy intersection.

There's no Top Card for Bad Credit

You couldn't make this up! This card issued by Crapit...sorry Capital One is advertised on Totallymoney.com as the 'Top Card for Bad Credit'. Maybe that should read 'Top Card for getting deeper into debt'.

Debt crisis! What debt crisis?

Ed Miliband

Warmest congratulations to the new leader of our party, who picked up four 1st choices from our house. Of course Boulton, Burley et al couldn't accept the win graciously, but immediately stooped to quote the bookies odds on the next General Election.

AVOW AGM

It was a pleasure to welcome Carl Sargeant AM to our AGM this morning as the guest speaker. It is undoubtedly a worrying time for the Third Sector and members certainly appreciated his honesty in his concerns for their funding.

Ah, but things are different now!

When HMRC lost 2 data discs in 2007, LibDem MP Chris Huhne said "I think it's going to be very hard for ministerial heads not to roll."

It should be interesting to see if he considers HMRC screwing up 6 million tax bills with the same view!
