F1 in HD, now that would be something!

Still on a motoring theme of sorts, is there any logical reason why Bernie doesn't allow the BBC to transmit F1 in HD? At a total guess I'm suspecting that there may be an increased demand for broadcasting rights, but surely if there was ever a sport that would benefit from the wonder of HD, it's the colourful Formula 1. A mooch around the web shows Bernie's said it may be done eventually when "enough people are interested". Amazingly out of touch with the modern world there then Bernie. I can watch the Tour de France, World Championship snooker from the Crucible and even table tennis is on in HD tonight. Be honest Bernie, it's money!
